Television Program Providers, Cable & Satellite

The list below are providers of cable television programming to the consumer.  By agreement with the broadcast and cable networks, these companies collect the television signals from  various sources and electronically package them for sale to the public.  Although the traditional packager in the past had been the cable television companies, direct broadcast satellite companies now also perform this service.  Today, these companies may also offer other services such as high speed data access and phone service.  Additionally, some television programming is now available over the Internet.
